Andrew J Gaetano, PT, DPT, OCS, NCS, MTC, CSCS

Mechanicville native Dr. Andrew Gaetano, co-owner of Capital Area Physical Therapy & Wellness, is a graduate of Ithaca College where he earned a doctorate in physical therapy. Along with being Manual Therapy Certified (MTC), he is one of the only therapists in the country who is nationally accredited as a board certified clinical specialist in both orthopedic physical therapy (OCS) and neurologic physical therapy (NCS), and is also a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS). In addition to being a clinical educator, he is an Assistant Professor at Sage Graduate School in Troy NY, where he teaches Gross Anatomy and Neuroscience. Because of Andrew’s extensive background in orthopedics/manual therapy including education in a wide array of techniques and theories, he specializes in patients with all types of pain including chronic pain, TMJ/Jaw pain and dysfunction, and his unique certifications make him especially qualified to assess and treat back and neck pain including nerve related pain. His specialties also include patients who have not improved with other therapy or treatment. He has taken several continuing education courses which allow him to use a well-rounded treatment approach, focusing on manual therapy including joint/spinal manipulation, specific individualized exercise prescription, and self-care education. Andrew’s main interest is educating patients on how to care for themselves, and teaching them everything they need to know to maximize their function. Outside of the clinic, Andrew enjoys training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and sports of all kinds, coaches youth wrestling and Little League in Glens Falls, as well as spending time with his wife Melissa, sons Joel and Grady, daughters Ava and Lila, and his dog, Val.

Amanda Cocozzo, PT

Physical Therapist

As a locally born and raised physical therapist, Amanda brings a strong orthopedic background in addition to experience in caring for patients with surgical and traumatic injuries, neurological, cardiac, pulmonary, oncology and renal diagnoses. Amanda has also had extensive continuing education in osteopathic based manual techniques including cranial sacral therapy and spinal treatment utilizing muscle energy techniques. She has diverse experience in developing and implementing treatment plans for pediatric through geriatric-aged clientele. She thrives on patient interaction and the various challenges associated with different conditions. Amanda holds a Bachelor of Science degree in physical therapy with a minor in biology from Daemen College, Amherst, NY. On a personal level Amanda is married to her husband Joe and has two boys, Anthony and James. When she’s not on the sports fields watching her boys she enjoys cooking and spending time with her 3 dogs. Her favorite place on earth is the Florida Keys! Amanda is also proud to serve the community of Stillwater as a member of the Stillwater Central School District board of education.

Nick Kossor, PT, DPT, OCS

After retiring from a professional judo career, which included winning 2 national championships, competing in the 2008 Olympic Trials, and making 5 World Teams, Nick Kossor went back to school and earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Sage Gradate School. His motivation to be a physical therapist stemmed from injuries he sustained during his competitive judo career. He has strong interests in orthopedics and manual therapy and is thrilled to be a part of the CAPT Team. When Nick is not treating patients, he spends his time with his wife and daughter Mia. Nick is still active in the martial arts community teaching judo and has his blue belt in jiu-jitsu. Nick also spends his time as a guitarist/musician in his original rock band Gozer.

Bryan Guild, PT, DPT, SCS

Bryan Guild is a 2021 doctor of physical therapy graduate of Russell Sage College, born and raised in Saratoga, NY. With a strong background and experience in personal training, Bryan offers CAPT patients his expertise in strength/conditioning and weight training. During his studies, Bryan developed a deep interest and passion in orthopedics and manual therapy. Outside of his PT career, Bryan enjoys mountain biking, camping and recently accomplished all 46 of the Adirondack high peaks. Aside from outdoor adventures, he is a big hockey fan and can be found watching the Maple Leafs.

Nur Elmegahed, PT, DPT

Doctor of Physical Therapy

Nur graduated from Russell Sage College in 2023 with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Prior to that she received her Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from the University at Albany. While in school, Nur completed orthopedic, acute care and rehab affiliations where she treated patients with a variety of conditions including spinal cord injuries, post-stroke rehab, and a wide range of musculoskeletal diagnoses. Nur also developed a huge interest in manual therapy and plans to further grow in the field of orthopedics. Nur is LSVT- BIG certified, which is a treatment approach for the management of Parkinson’s disease. In addition to English, Nur is fluent in Arabic and French, and speaks Turkish intermediately. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, baking, and learning different languages. She also enjoys travelling and going on international trips.

William Lineback, PT, DPT

Doctor of Physical Therapy

William completed his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Russell Sage College in 2023. His undergraduate degree was completed at Russell Sage College as well, where he studied Applied Biological Sciences. William performed his third clinical rotation at Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital where he began to show an expressed interest in Neurological Physical Rehabilitation. William continued to pursue his interest in this particular field by completing the LSVT-Big program and becoming certified in Rehabilitation for Parkinson’s disease. Will’s initial interest in PT stemmed from his passion for weightlifting and playing hockey. In Will’s free time he enjoys hiking, skiing, and spending time with family and friends.

Sara O’Connor, PT, DPT

Doctor of Physical Therapy

Sara has her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Russell Sage College where she also earned her
undergraduate degree. While at Sage she played on the Field Hockey team, worked as a Resident
Director and taught Anatomy and Physiology undergrad labs. Her clinical affiliations focused on
outpatient orthopedics and pediatrics. During her education she developed a passion for
orthopedics and helping patients achieve their goals for recovery and injury prevention. Sara has
a strong interest in working with patients in all phases of the lifespan. Outside of the PT clinic,
Sara enjoys traveling, reading, watching The Bachelor and redoing furniture.

Jacob Laurent, L.Ac

Acupuncturist

Jacob received his Master’s in Acupuncture from the New England School of Acupuncture at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, the oldest accredited Acupuncture College in the United States. He focuses on combining traditional Acupuncture practices with modern Acupuncture research to provide the best treatment strategies for his patients. Jacob is passionate about helping people get back to doing the things they love through relieving physical, mental and emotional pain. He completed internships providing Acupuncture in a variety of clinical settings including the New England School of Acupuncture Clinic in downtown Worcester, Massachusetts and Lemuel Shattuck Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. Local to the Adirondacks, Jacob has always enjoyed getting outside, spending most of his time skateboarding, playing disc golf, or exploring somewhere new with his wife (who is also an acupuncturist!).

Carrie Tworek, Administrative Coordinator

Carrie has had a career in customer service specializing in patient and client care in CT, NJ and VA before coming to Burnt Hills and raising her family. Go Spartans!  She has been with CAPT for most of its growth and expansion, focused on keeping patients and coworkers informed  and happy every day.  Free time involves spending time with her two daughters and friends in the area trying new wineries and breweries,  experimenting with the newest food and kitchen gadget trends and would like to get into photography. So far the photo model has been exclusively Mason the Dog! She has a BA in English from Western Connecticut State University.

Cathy Mueller, Billing/Administrative Staff

Cathy was born and raised in the Capital Region. She has had a career as a Medical Biller for many years. Working in the fields of Plastic Surgery, Orthopedics, and Ophthalmology.  She is a graduate of SUNY Cobleskill with a degree in Early Childhood Education. Her free time she spends with her husband and their golden retriever, Maverick.  Cathy loves traveling the country, attending  the theater and spending summer days on her boat in Lake George. Nothing makes her happier than being with her family and friends.

Anna Waters, Malta and Saratoga Administrative Staff

Anna is originally from Glenville, NY. She graduated in 2021 from SUNY Cobleskill with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood. In her spare time she likes to play video games, play with her dogs, and spend time with her friends and family. Be careful not to bring up anything related to Broadway shows (especially Hamilton)… Anna will have you talking for hours and might even sing a song or two!  When she is not in the office, she can be found in the dojo where she takes karate classes and is currently working toward her blue belt. Anna is passionate about ensuring all patients receive the best possible care, and loves to greet patients with a smile when they walk through our door.
