After going through the second to last course on a track to a manual therapy certification, I was able to further refine manual/hands on skills that are important in the process to normalize movement, decrease pain, and ultimately improve function. A previous post I had written on how to determine if you movement was normal is certainly confirmed as I learn more and more techniques and how to apply these techniques to individual problems. Some movement problems can’t be seen, they have to be felt. Only a manually trained therapists has the tools and skills to do this.
Mid back pain is a problem that is very prevalent, and can be persistent if not treated correctly. By using the right hands on techniques followed by the right exercise, this problem can be easily treated. If you have had mid or low back pain that has been persistent for several days or weeks, even if you have had treatment and it didn’t get better, the right therapist can make all the difference. Trust the therapists at Capital Area PT to detect movement problems, and treat them appropriately . A few example videos to follow in the up coming weeks.
